SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 13 – Clarence Dean
is serving a prison sentence
for failing to register as a
sex offender. He wants a
single
cell.
On January 13, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Loretta A. Preska held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Dean's
Federal Defender, who had
filed a largely redacted
written request, proposed that
Dean be put in cell by himself
unless or until he is seen as
suicidal.
Judge Preska
listened patiently but
disagreed, and denied the
request.
The case is US v.
Dean, 08-cr-67 (Preska)
