Bank Fraud Rosado Now Seeks St Marks Treatment As SDNY Judge Rakoff Asks of Shelter

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - The Source

SDNY COURTHOUSE, June 1 – Anthony Rosado was charged with bank fraud in 2017. In 2020 he has appeared three times before U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Jed S. Rakoff for alleged Violations of Supervised Release.

On February 7, 2020 he appeared before Judge Rakoff, "without audio / transcript); on May 8, 2020 he again appeared by "Telephone Application without transcription or recording," to arrange a June 1 session which Inner City Press covered.   On June 1 Judge Rakoff was assured that Rosado is seeking treatment at St. Marks.

Judge Rakoff congratulated defense lawyer Susan Walsh for holding him back from ordering remand. But he has required the informaiton about "the shelter whre he resides and all consents necessary for the Probation Office(r) to access all medical records from St. Marks."

The case is US v. Rosado, 17-cr-744 (Rakoff).
