SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 12 – Library Rights
Company (UK) Ltd owns an
interest in the movie Crow
III: Salvation. It has sued to
enforce it.
On January
12 U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Analisa Torres held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
While the
suit was initially against
Miramax, now the Edward R.
Pressman Film Corporation is
the lead defendant. Many
lawyers introduced
themselves.
Judge
Torres asked why they proposed
more than her customary four
months for discovery.
Eventually she
gave them an extra month. She
mentioned referral to a
Magistrate Judge for
settlement discussions.
The case is
Library Rights Company (UK)
Ltd. v. Edward R. Pressman
Film Corporation et al.,
20-cv-9396 (Torres)
