SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 25 – Darrel Harris was
indicted on April 23, 2019 for
being a felon in possession of
a firearm.
He was
scheduled to change his plea
to guilty on January 25 before
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Vernon S.
Broderick. Inner City
Press covered it.
But it was
said that since the indictment
did not comply with a decision
since that it must allege that
the defendant KNEW, he did not
plea.
Instead, his
lawyer asked that he be
released on bond.
The AUSA said
nothing about danger to the
community had changed, and
Judge Broderick agreed.
The AUSA
said a new indictment could be
sought in two weeks.
The case is US v.
Harris, 19-cr-300 (Broderick)
