SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 15 – Helene Ruiz after
arriving from Virginia at Penn
Station in Manhattan on
September 23, 2017 fell on a
34th Street subway grating for
the A, C and E trains. She
sued the City, Amtrak and
Madison Square Garden.
On September 15
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge P. Kevin Castel held a
discovery conference. Inner
City Press covered
it.
After much
back and forth Judge Castel
ruled that MSG must produce an
affidavit about its search for
responsive documents, and that
depositions in the case can
continue remotely due to
COVID-19.
The case is Ruiz
v. City Of New York et al.,
18-cv-9904 (Castel)
