SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Feb 11 – Nikia King is charged
with conspiracy to distribute
narcotics. She sought court
approval to use medical
marijuana.
On February
10, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge John P. Cronan held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
King's lawyer had
argued that in March 2020 Ms.
King received a presciption
from Dr. William Steck of West
Orange, NJ for medical
marijuana... I urge the Court
to allow Ms. King to continue
this form of medication."
Judge Cronan ruled, It is
hereby ORDERED that Defendant
King's request for a
modification of the conditions
of her pre-trial supervision
is DENIED." The
multi-defendant case goes
forward.
This is US v.
King, 21-cr-56 (Cronan)
