SDNY COURTHOUSE,
September 1 – Hilario Miculax
Miculax sued Jorge Ayala,
"Jeremias Doe" and La Fonda
Boricua of 169 East 106th
Street for failure to pay the
required spread of hours pay.
Then things took a turn for
the
worse.
On September 1 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
The
defense lawyer said his client
has been having suicidal
ideations, his wife left him,
and now the lawyer was also
going to withdraw, to make
things better or at least
clearer.
In a
surprising showing, the
plaintiff's lawyer said if
that is really the case, he
would be prepared to drop the
case. Judge Netburn gave them
time to do just that.
The case is
Miculax Miculax et al v. La
Fonda Boricua Lounge, Inc. et
al., 20-cv-4477 (Daniels /
Netburn)
