SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 15 – Victor Rivera was in
an NYC HRA office on 14th
Street when he asked what
number they were up to. He was
told, "It's not my f*cking
job."
An exchange of
other words ensued, and it was
Rivera who was arrested by HRA
police. He sued.
On September 15
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge P. Kevin Castel held a
status conference. Inner City
Press covered it.
NYC
Assistant Corporation Counsel
in the Special Federal
Litigation Division Adrea
Bonillas told Judge Castel she
did not want to come to court
due to the dangers of
COVID-19.
Judge
Castel replied that the
courthouse is open, and that
there might not be a vaccine
until the second half of 2021,
according to the NIH. He urged
Bonillas to find another
lawyer to cover the case.
The case is
Rivera v. City of New York, et
al., 18-cv-9517 (Castel)
