SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 4 – NYC's
Department of Corrections was
sued for its treatment of
women inmates on Rikers
Island. The complaint cites a
lack of medical staff and
"intimate
examinations."
On December 3, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
At the
conference, Judge Cave said
the City can request from
plaintiff D.S. her medical
records; the City's request to
re-open D.S.'s deposition was
held in abeyance.
There is another
conference set for December
17.
The
case is K.A.
v. The City Of
New York , et
al., 18-cv-3858
