SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 8 – The Hot Shot bug bomb
claims that it "kills hidden
bugs and penetrates into
crevices, cracks and carpet
fibers." But some consumers
say Hot Shot is a scam, and
have
sued.
On October
8 U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Jesse M. Furman held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
In late August,
Judge Furman had dismissed
some of the claims, but said
those under the NYGBL
survive.
Now fact
discovery is due by April 6,
2021; the parties are to
indicate by letter by January
15 if they would like Judge
Furman to refer their dispute
to a Magistrate of the SDNY
Mediation Program.
Scheduled is a
pre-trial conference on April
8 in Judge Furman's courtroom
1105 in 40 Foley Square.
The case is
Bassaw v. United Industries
Corporation et al., 19-cv-7759
(Furman)
