SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 17 – Germain Ismael says
while on Rikers Island on
February 6, 2017 and in line
to be taken to court, he was
singled out and told after
strip search that he would not
be transported because he was
wearing a jacket.
Then, he says,
Corrections Officer Comacho
"took out her can of MK-9
spray and sprayed plaintiff in
his face."
On July 17
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The length
of a trial on this incident
was estimated at three to five
days. Judge Wood said he would
be scheduling a trial for
December 2020.
The case is
Ismael v. Comacho et al.,
18-cv-3957 (Woods)
