June 10 – Elijah Bilal is
charged with crack dealing
with a gun and causing the
death of another: Terrance
Martin, by 285 East 156th
Street in The Bronx.
On July 20, 2021
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge J. Paul Oetken held a
proceeding. Inner City Press

Judge
Oetken asked the prosecutors
about the status of capital
murder policy review at Main
Justice.
He set the
next proceeding for September
21 and excluded Speedy Trial
Act time until then.

10, 2022: "ELIJAH BILAL, a/k/a
“Karate Kid,” pled guilty
today to conspiring to commit
a firearms crime in connection
with the April 15, 2012 murder
of Terrance Martin, 25, in the
Bronx, New York. As part
of his plea, BILAL admitted
that he murdered Martin.
BILAL pled in the middle of
his jury trial before U.S.
District Judge J. Paul
Oetken. BILAL also pled
guilty to conspiring to tamper
with witnesses who were
expected to testify against
him at trial."
