SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 7 – Thunder Jackson's
bar and restaurant at 169
Bleecker Street has been sued
by workers for not paying
minimum wage or
overtime.
On March 5,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge
Hellerstein was in the process
of addressing five cases in
half an hour. This one, he set
a control date of March 26,
saying if the parties wanted
it faster, to just write in.
He said he was
setting a control date so he
didn't lose track of the case.
Rather like air traffic
control.
The case is
Franco Perez et al v. Super
Gourmet Food Corp. et al.,
16-cv-4375 (Hellerstein)
