Nov 9 – Sabitri Laforest
and three relatives - her
husband, son and daughter --
were indicted for wire fraud
and
embezzlement.
On November 9, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Colleen McMahon held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
McMahon asked for a
description of the alleged
scheme.
The AUSA said
American Express had noticed a
pattern and told the target
about it. There is extensive
discovery to be produced.
The next
conference is set for January
11 at 2:30 pm. The case
is US v. Laforest,
21-cr-272 (McMahon)
