SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 15 –
Jermaine Nibbs wants to end
his supervised release after
conviction on drug charges.
But Probation says it would be
a bad
precedent.
On March 14, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Loretta A. Preska held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The request
was to end Nibbs' supervised
release.
But
probation said it would be a
bad precedent, and said on the
record that Nibbs had bipolar
disorder and previously
violated the court's trust.
Judge Preska set
a Final Hearing on Revocation
of Supervised Release for May
16 at 9 am.
The case is
US v. Nibbs, 12-cr-863
(Preska)
