SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 12 – A Broan-NuTone
bathroom vent fan failed and a
fire spread in 229 Webber
Avenue in Sleepy Hollow, New
York, on November 1,
2017.
On November
12 U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Edgardo Ramos held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge Ramos
inquired about the fan - and
also about the sound on the
telephone conference of a
crinkling bag or someone
eating potato chips.
I'm sorry, Your
Honor, one of the lawyers
said.
It's quite all
right, Judge Ramos replied.
The case
management plan says discovery
will run to August 15, 2021.
The case is worth $300,000.
Judge Ramos urged them to
settle it.
The case is
Metropolitan Property and
Casualty Insurance Company v.
Broan-Nutone, LLC et al,
20-cv-1890 (Ramos)
