SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Feb 18 – Karen Shaffer says
she was subject to
discrimination in the NYC
Department of Homeless
Services. She has sued the
Department, and Steven
Banks.
On
February 18 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Mary Kay Vyskocil held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Shaffer points to
a promotion to a salary of
$135,000, which did not
provide partiy with a younger
DHS worker, Lauros.
She said she was
told to lie to donors Target
Corporation and Trinity Church
Wall Street.
There will
be a mediation on March 12,
then if not successful,
discovery into September.
Judge Vyskocil
said she would like to have a
status conference before the
end of expert discovery,
therefore on July 29.
The case is
Shaffer v. City Of New York ,
et al., 20-cv-7985 (Vyskocil)
