SDNY MAG COURT
EXCLUSIVE, June 30 - In
the U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York on June 30, a detention
or release proceeding was held
by Magistrate Judge Stewart D.
Aaron on a defendant charged
with the armed robbery of a
smoke shop in The Bronx. Inner
City Press was there.
The
Federal Defender argued that
it was not shown that he had
handled the gun found later in
a green bag, nor a Glock
thrown out when the police
came to make the arrest.
The key,
Judge Aaron said, was the
previous criminal history, the
lack of compliance with drug
treatment. He ordered
pre-trial detention.
The case is US v.
Darboe , 22-mj-5372 (Aaron)
