Fertility Center Was Sued For Age
Discrimination Now Says Nears Settlement

SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 31 – Susan Forte has sued
Columbia University Center for
Reproductive Care for age
discrimination.
On August 25, 2021 U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Robert W.
Lehrburger held a proceeding.
Inner City Press covered
it.
Ms. Forte is
sick; Columbia is seeking
judicial intervention to bring
about her deposition. Judge
Lehrburger ordered that
discovery be turned over by
August 30.
On January 31,
2022 Judge Lehrburger held
another proceeding. Now the
talk was of settlement, but
issues remained about the
difference in treatment on IRS
Form 1099 for emotional
distress and other damages. So
it is not yet done.
The case is

et al., 18-cv-8923 (Kaplan /
Lehrburger)
