SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 18 – Tessa Knox sued John
Varvatos Enterprises, Inc. for
gender discrimination in pay.
On July 15, 2022
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Gabriel W.
Gorenstein held a proceeding.
Inner City Press covered
it.
The plaintiff
says JV gives male sales
associates an annual $6000
store credit, but for females
only a 50% discount on
purchases "at JV's sister
store." There was a
judgment.
Judge
Gorenstein said JV should pay,
from its Bank of America
account to satisfy the
judgment.
The case is Knox
v. John Varvatos Enterprises,
Inc., 17-cv-772 (Woods)
