SDNY MAG COURT
EXCLUSIVE, August 24 -
In the U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York on August 24, a detention
or bond (jail or bail)
proceeding was held by
Magistrate Sarah on a
defendant who while a felon
had been arrested with a 25
caliber gun, and fled the
police who stopped him for a
motor bike with no
plates. Inner City Press
was there, the only media in
the Mag Court.
The
defendant had two brothers in
the gallery, who offered to
sign a $50,000 bond. The
Federal Defender argued he had
not been arrested since the
state charge in June 2022, and
had been on his way to the
gym. He was freed the same day
on bond, walked several times
through other proceedings in
the Mag Court to sign the
bond.
The case is US v.
Wayne, 22-mj-6808 (Cave)
