SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Aug 5 – Steven Mitchell has
been before U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Katherine Polk Failla since
2013.
On August 5 he
was back, pleading guilty to
violations of supervised
release. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge Failla
expressed frustration at
Mitchell's return. She
recounted giving a change
before, for an ice truck
business. She said further
supervised release made no
sense.
After hearing of
the COVID-19 crisis in the
MCC, she imposed a sentence of
21 months rather than 24.
The case is US v.
Mitchell, 13-cr-752 (Failla)
