SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Feb 8 – David Rainey, on gun
charges, was assigned a lawyer
who has turned out to have an
irreconcilable conflict of
interest.
On February
8, U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Analisa Torres held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Incoming CJA
counsel Matthew D. Myers wrote
that John Anthony Diaz
"clearly has an irreconcilable
conflict between two clients
so he must remove himself from
the Rainey matter as well as
another matter."
Judge Torres
relieved Diaz, and appointed
Myers. The next conference is
March 8.
The case is USA
v. Rainey, 20-cr-694 (Torres)
