Investigator Charged With Child Porn Has
June 16 Jury Trial Reaffirmed in SDNY

SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 7 – Frederick Scheinin is
charged with child
pornography. He is, or was, a
DEA diversion investigator.
On April 16, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Lorna G. Schofield held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
defense said it is difficult
to work with Scheinin while he
is incarcerated amid COVID.
On May 7 SDNY
Judge Jed S. Rakoff, to whom
the case has been re-assigned,
held a proceeding. The June 16
trial date was
re-affirmed. Motions are
due June 2.

Scheinin, 20-cr-133 (Rakoff)
