Supervisee in Florida Now Selling Body Bags and PPE Still Slack Given To Pay Restitution

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, March 3 – Randy Ortzman in 2016 was sentenced to Time Served and three years of Supervised Release, and ordered pay restitution for wire fraud.

On March 3, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Richard M. Berman held a supervision proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Judge Berman as is his way inquired into Ortzman's job and family. He said he would "cut him some slack" on the restitution, given the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was somewhat ironic, and in Ortzman's job in Florida he is selling PPE and even body-bags.

He said things are still touch and go in Florida. He may be ending supervision in 2021.

The case is US v. Ortzman, 11-cr-417 (Berman)
