SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 8 – The U.S. Commodity
Futures Trading Commission has
sued Casper Mikkelsen for
misappropriate of investors
funds.
But
Mikkelsen is in Denmark and an
argument is made that service
by mail is not sufficient
there.
On March
8, U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge John P. Cronan held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
Cronan inquired, as he does,
into the background of the
case.
Then he
cited other Federal districts
which have approved such
service of process in Denmark,
and recounted the steps that
the CFPB has taken.
The case is
Commodity Futures Trading
Commission v. Mikkelsen,
20-cv-3833 (Cronan)
