SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 6 – A man who pled guilty
to killing his estranged wife
in 2017 at Sea Gate, Brooklyn,
has a number of prison
condition lawsuits against the
City of New York.

U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Valerie
Figueredo held a proceeding
Inner City Press covered
it.
The case
involves Corrections Officer
allegedly spraying Gabino
Genao with a fire
extinguisher.
Using the prison
law library, Genoa is seeking
copies of the Department of
Corrections policies for such
use.
Judge
Figueredo said she is ready to
sign an order requiring
disclosure, but first wants to
see a protective order and
proposed redactions.
There are also
questions about video, and
retention, in the case(s).
