SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 12– An ISIS suspect was
presented on the afternoon of
November 27, 2019 in
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Court - which
earlier that same day was the
locale of a total lack of
transparency, inconsistent and
at odds with not only the law
but this presentation.
Inner City Press covered it,
in person.
Then in August
10, 2020, from the US
Attorney's office, this:
"announced that ZACHARY CLARK,
a/k/a “Umar Kabir,” a/k/a
“Umar Shishani,” a/k/a “Abu
Talha,” pled guilty to
attempting to provide material
support to the Islamic State
of Iraq and al-Sham
(“ISIS”). CLARK pled
guilty today in Manhattan
federal court before U.S.
District Judge Naomi Reice
Buchwald. CLARK is
scheduled to be sentenced by
Judge Buchwald on February 9,
2021, at 12:00 p.m."
In fact,
due to COVID, the sentencing
did not occur until May 12. It
was in person; there was no
call-in line unlike another
sentencing the same morning
across the street in 40 Foley
Square. Inner City Press went
to cover it in person, so only
three tweets:
Now, for material
support of ISIS, Zachary Clark
is being sentenced
@SDNYLIVE , in person. He's in
orange WCDOC jumpsuit. He ran
ISIS channels. 1/x 12:53 PM ·

Clark had 3 near-death
overdoses. Says general
deterrence is most important
here. She sentences him
to 240 months, then
supervision for life.
More: AUSA Matthew Hellman
hammered away; Federal
Defender Marviny cited a
psychological evaluation.
Judge Buchwald wasn't buying
it, adding that she did not
think that Clark can be a
productive member of society
but that she hope so.
In twenty years.
