SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Feb 24 – Ian Carmichael was
charged with firearms
trafficking. Now he has
pleaded guilty and, in
allocuting, explained
it.
On
February 24, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Paul G. Gardephe held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Carmichael said he is 58, and
graduated high school.
He needed
money, and transported
ammunition for sale from
Orlando, Florida to Chinatown
in New York City, not far from
the SDNY
courthouses.
Judge
Gardephe asked about
immigration status and
accepted the plea.
Sentencing
is set for July 16.
The case is US v.
Carmichael, 19-cr-743
(Gardephe)
