SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 11 –
Medical Management Group of
New York has been sued for
sending people for Independent
Medical Examinations to
doctors' office that are not
compliant with the Americans
with Disabilities
Act.
On
March 11, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Magistrate Judge
Sarah L. Cave held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
MMG has
moved to dismiss, and
emphasizes that doctors'
office are specifically
required to comply with the
ADA. But the complaint, the
allegations of which have to
be taken as true at this
point, says otherwise.
Violations of New
York State and New York City
Human Rights Laws are also
alleged.
The case is
Frawley v. Medical Management
Group of New York, Inc.,
21-cv-8894 (Nathan /
Cave)
