SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 10 – Alexander Melo and
Franmy Luna were charged in an
indictment in November
2019.
On March
10, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Paul G.
Gardephe held a proceeding.
Inner City Press covered
it.
A co-defendant
with them earlier in the case
got a plea agreement in
December 2020, for a
sentencing guideline of 63 to
78 months. Now Luna plans to
plead guilty on April 9.
Luna is heading
to trial, for now set for
November 1.
The case is US v.
Melo, et al., 19-cr-818
