SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 27 – P. O'Gorman claims
sexual harassment by the
"lobby manager of the Mercer
Hotel, whose conduct was
well-known to his employers."
On July 24 U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Lewis J. Liman held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Claudia
Costa, an insurance
carrier-paid lawyer
representing Mercer Hotel
Corporation, argued for
sanctions against the
plaintiff's attorney Joshua
Bernstein. He in turn
expressed skepticism that
Mercer Hotel is unrelated to
Mercer Kitchen.
Judge Liman
declined to stay discovery and
said he would only address
motions actually before him.
Ms Costa, repeatly saying
"with all due respect," said
she will be filing a sanctions
motion.
The case is
