SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 6 – Benjamin Schmidt on
his bicycle was hit by a US
Postal Service vehicle. He was
15 year old, so his father
Joel Schmidt
sued.
On March 4, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Stewart D.
Aaron held a proceeding. Inner
City Press covered
it. While Judge
Aaron set a trial-ready date
of August 4, a final request
to him was to sign subpoenas.
He did, to the
NYC Department of
Transportation, a "Subpoena to
Produce Documents, Information
or Objects or to Permit
Inspection of Premises in a
Civil Action."
The case is
Schmidt v. United States
Postal Service, 20-cv-3003
(Aaron)
