SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 29 – Adam Lambert was
arrested on felon in
possession charges on
September 14, indicted for
having a .380-caliber Ruger
semi-automatic
pistol.
Lambert was
ordered free on $50,000 bond
by U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Katharine H.
Parker.
But the assigned
District Judge, Ronnie Abrams,
upheld the government's bail
appeal and ordered Lambert
detained.
On
September 29 Judge Abrams held
a proceeding on the CourtCall
platform. Inner City Press
covered it.
Assistant US
Attorney Thomas John Wright
explained that it would take
60 to 909 days to produce
discovery including DNA
testing of the gun, since
technicians had been diverted
to cover on COVID-19.
Judge
Abrams asked if this time
frame could be considered
"expedited." AUSA Wright said
yes.
Judge
Abrams set the next conference
for December 1.
The case is US v.
Lambert, 20-cr-469
(Abrams)
