SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Aug 4 – Fraunces Tavern has a
long history. But according to
Aleksandra Perovic it does not
pay minimum wage. On August 4
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Lewis J. Liman held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The defendants
asked that the case be
referred to mediation,
disputing the Lovelace Tavern
where the plaintiff worked is
sufficiently related to
Fraunces Tavern.
But, Judge Liman
asked, what about Porterhouse
Brew Co. Bar?
The defense
lawyer said that is
essentially at one with
Lovelace, which specializes in
high end cocktails while
Porterhouse is more into craft
beers. But what about Frances
Tavern?
The referral to
mediation is being made - but
the case management plan is
being accepted.
The case is
Perovic v. Lovelace Tavern,
LLC et al., 20-cv-1340 (Liman)
