SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 19 – New York Bay Capital
LLC had a deal to provide
financial advisory services to
Cobalt Holdings to build a
telecommunication project in
Mexico stretching from Tulum
to Cancun, "known as the
Riviera Maya."
Then Cobalt took
up with other investment
banks. NY Bay sued.
On
September 14 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Cobalt's
lawyer accused New York Bay of
"conspiracy theories." Then
talk turned to whether or not
to quash particular discovery
requests.
On October
19 Judge Woods held another
proceeding, offering the
parties a trial date of
January 18 and directing them
to the Zoom-based Trial
Graphics program used in
trials that he cited between
SDNY Chief Judge McMahon and
Judge Liman. One of the
parties asks for the cites.
It's on.
The case is New
York Bay Capital, LLC, v.
Cobalt Holdings, Inc.,
19-cv-3618 (Woods)
