SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 26 – New York City
Transit Authority employees
have sued the agency under the
Fair Labor Standards Act for
not paying them
overtime.
On March 25, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered
it.
NYCTA says that a
ransomware attack in late 2021
"is still affecting
Defendant's ability to recover
time and payroll data."
Judge Cave told
the parties to work on it, and
convened another session for
April 22.
The case is
Beckwith et al v. New York
City Transit Authority,
19-cv-10930 (Oekten /
Cave)
