SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 1 – Pascual
Porfirio Moreno sued his
ex-employer Morrison
Management LLC under the Fair
Labor Standards Act.
Morrison was
represented by Martin Gringer
but he moved to withdraw,
saying his client refused to
go to mediation.
On
September 1 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Katherine Polk Failla held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
One of the
principals of Morrison,
"managing member" Lelila
Medina, was on the line. She
did not explain the refusal to
mediate but said the
relationship with Gringer had
broken down.
She and Morrison
have a month to find another
lawyer, before Judge Failla's
order enters.
The case is
Porfirio Moreno v. Morrison
Management LLC, 19-cv-9009
(Failla)
