SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 19 – New York City Transit
Authority, which is now
considering eliminating not
only one-week but also the
months MetroCard, has used its
pharmacy benefit manager
Express Scripts, Inc.
On November
19, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Jesse M. Furman
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
NYCTA says that
since April 2016 it has paid
tens of millions of dollars -
in strap-hangers' fares -- in
"fraudulent, abusive, or
excessive prescription drug
claims."
One of the
lawyers said
matter-of-the-factly that his
nine year old daughter cut the
tip of her finger off (Judge
Furman wished her
well).
Up next: a motion
for summary judgment.
The case is NYC
Transit Authority v. Express
Scripts, Inc., 19-cv-5196
(Furman)
