SDNY COURTHOUSE,
September 1 – Lavvan made a
deal with Amyris around
chemical found in cannabis
plants -- cannabinoids -- but
then it resulted in
litigation, under both
contract and intellectual
property
claims.
On September 1 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge J.
Paul Oetken held a proceeding.
Inner City Press covered
it.
Judge
Oetken remarked that sometimes
the expense and time of an
intellectual property case can
be resolved on the underlying
contract issues. And he agreed
to stay the SDNY case, pending
appeal.
The case is
Lavvan, Inc. v. Amyris, Inc.,
20-cv-7386 (Oetken)
