SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 11 – Tasha Burnett was
charged as part of a narcotics
conspiracy, specifically to
sell crack.
On March 11, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Denise L. Cote held her
sentencing. Inner City Press
covered it.
As
noted about this case in
January, while one of her
co-defendants is seeking to
suppress evidence of
conversations intercepted
through Title III wiretaps,
Burnett in a December 10 plea
agreement pled to a less
included offense.
While the
US Attorney's Office pushed
for the guideline 41 month
sentence, Judge Cote after
inquiry imposed 29 months and
wished the defendant good
luck.
The case is US v.
Disla, 20-cr-52 (Cote)
