SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 27 – Jesus Manual Rojas
and Prospero Gonzalez were
together charged with
narcotics conspiracy in
Yonkers. And on October 28
they were back to back
sentenced, and will both
surrender on February
16.
On October 28
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge P. Kevin Castel held the
sentencings. Inner City Press
covered them.
For
Gonzalez, the US Attorney's
office was for the guideline
of 87 to 108 months but got
48.
For Rojas, his
lawyer noted that a year ago
Probation recommended 32
months but that since then
"the prison landscape has
transformed" due to
COVID.
Judge Castel
seemed to agree, at least a
bit, sentencing Rojas to 30
months. Both men can
self-surrender on February 16.
The case is US v.
Rojas, 19-cr-467 (Castel)
