SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 2 – Sururi Barbee has
been arrested on a state
charge, and appeared before
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Katherine Polk Failla on
September 2. Inner City Press
covered it.
It was a
Violation of Supervised
Release Proceeding, but as
often happened with these, it
rides on the underlying state
charge.
Judge Failla
agreed to put the matter off
until November 20 - Barbee's
lawyer cited his anniversary
earlier in the month and Judge
Failla joked that she didn't
want to be the cause of any
marital discord.
The counsel, who
is also on the CJA panel, is
in this case and in the
related state case retained.
The Federal
case is US v. Barbee,
20-cr-403 (Failla)
