SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 25 – Israeli corporation
SuperCom LTD sued Wedbush
Securities in a dispute over a
Stock Purchase
Agreement.
On
February 8, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Katharine H.
Parker held a proceeding.
Inner City Press covered
it.
SuperCom
makes radio frequency
identification products used
by governments and
corporations around the world.
Wedbush is a broker-dealer
with over $2 billion under
management.
The talk
on February 8 was of a
so-called "tripartite"
settlement, perhaps. Judge
Parker gave the parties until
March 31 to file a status
letter.
At that time,
Sabby sought to move for
summary judgment. But Judge
Parker said that is not
permitted in case that do not
request a jury trial. A missed
deadline was excused but a
briefing schedule on alleged
failure to comply with Rule 26
was set: motion due May 6,
Reply to June 3. Midway
through counsel said he had
not realized last time the
Press was on the line. It was,
and remains.
And again on
October 24, when Judge Parker
ruled that the deadline to
depose Dr. Michaelson is
November 30, and for the
parties to request a
settlement conference with the
Court is December 2.
The case is
