SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 6 – One If By Land
Restaurant of 17 Barrow Street
in lower Manhattan has been
sued for not paying overtime
or minimum wage.
On May 28, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Vernon S.
Broderick held a
proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
It emerged
that the case, first filed in
2018, may be nearing
settlement. Judge Broderick
stayed all deadlines in the
case until June 28 "to allow
the parties to continue
settlement discussions."
On July 6, Judge
Broderick held another
proceeding, and Inner City
Press again covered it. Now
the talk was of setting a
trial date. We will continue
to cover these cases.
The case is
Orellana et al v. One If By
Land Restaurant LLC et al.,
18-cv-7865 (Broderick)
