SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 22 –
A lawsuit was filed in the
name of Yensy Contreras,
described as blind and wanting
to buy bird products and
accessories but blocked by the
inaccessible website of
Dundraft,
Inc.
On April 29, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
There are
many suit ADA suits in the
SDNY and elsewhere. Previously
on March 22, Judge Koeltl asked
how many have been filed by
this plaintiff.
It's a matter of
public record, he was told -
and that 120 was in the
ballpark.
Now it's at least
121. Judge Cave said motions
are due by Septmeber 26 but
encouraged settlement
discussions, and asked for a
status letter in 30 days
This case is
Contreras v. Duncraft, Inc.,
22-cv-455 (Gardephe / Cave)
