SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 10 – The owner of
Fatburger, Ponderoso
Steakhouse and others, FAT
Brands, has sued PPMT Capital
Advisors.
On April 9, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Paul G. Gardephe held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
FAT Brands
says PPMT got fat off of it,
and its failed placement of up
to $100 million in financing.
PPMT apparently claimed that
the Al Thani Family of Qatar,
involved in more and more
litigation in the SDNY, would
fund Fatburger. It never
happened.
The next
conference is August 19.
The case is FAT
Brands Inc. v. PPMT Capital
Advisors, Ltd. et al.,
19-cv-10497 (Furman)
