SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Aug 6 – William Zabit
from 2014 developed an "asset
index concept" tying company's
brands to their stock price.
Then he sued a slew of
companies.
On August 6 U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Jed S. Rakoff held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
Rakoff tried to speed things
by setting deadlines for
motions. Some of the
defendants objected.
So Judge
Rakoff said fine, he'd be
willing to allow discovery to
advance and then extended the
motion time for months.
Defendants pushed
back. So the motions are due
soon.
The case is Zabit
v. Brandometry, LLC et al.,
20-cv-555 (Rakoff)
