SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 18 – Casimir Griffin was
on supervised release when he
was charged with shooting a
gun in Newburgh, New
York.
On
December 17 in U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York, Second
Circuit Court of Appeals Judge
Richard J. Sullivan, sitting
by designation in his past
criminal case, held an
in-person VOSR proceeding with
Green. Inner City Press
covered in by the rightly
provided listen-only call-in
line.
Griffin
spoke for himself and said he
was being treated unfairly and
intends to appeal. Judge
Sullivan did not cut him off;
he asked the AUSA why his
Office had not brought new
charges rather than just the
VOSR with a guideline maximum
of two years.
Not
getting an answer, Judge
Sullivan imposed a sentence of
two years, minus the time
already served - that is,
starting from May 7, 2021.
How the appeal
will go, and if it will be
filed, is not known.
The case is
US v. Griffin, 11-cr-936
(Sullivan)
