SDNY COURTHOUSE,
September 1 – James Snipes,
previously convicted on
narcotics conspiracy charges,
is detained on an alleged
Violation of Supervised
Release.
On September 1 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Analisa Torres had scheduled a
bail hearing. Inner City Press
covered it.
The docket
reflects the SDNY Magistrate
Judge Kevin N. Fox detailed
Snipes on August 25 as a risk
of flight, "see transcript."
But the transcript was not
available on September 1.
Snipes lawyer
said he wanted to make his
argument orally, better than
in writing. Judge Torres put
it over to September 9 at 10
am.
The case is
11 US v. Snipes, 17-cr-611
(Torres)
